Karen Siegel
Karen Siegel joined the School of Social and Political Sciences as Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Research Fellow in October 2016. She received her PhD in Politics from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and she has an MSc in Economic and Social Studies (Postcolonial Politics) from Aberystwyth University and an MA (Hons) in French and Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
Before returning to Glasgow in 2016 she was a Lecturer in Politics at Edinburgh Napier University where she led courses on environmental politics, research methods and British politics in Edinburgh and in Hong Kong in cooperation with Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education. Other previous work experience includes two years in Brussels where she worked for the European Commission and the consultancy Bernard Brunhes International as well as a year in Quito, Ecuador where she worked as an English and French teacher for the Centro de Educación Continua de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional.
